Amy Hontos - Owner/Master Instructor
A proud member of the National Dance Teacher's Association as a Licensed Professional Ballroom Dance Teacher! With my roots right here in Newport News and Fred Astaire Dance Studio beginnings, I began dancing in 1982 in a teacher training program. This program is where I learned how to teach the fundamentals of ballroom dancing under the direction of Mary Pope and Rick Zilonka of FADS.
Since my beginnings, I've also worked for Arthur Murray's under the direction of the late John Hatton and at which time I competed as a Professional, proudly placing 1st in the Rising Star and 2nd in the Open Professionals. Over the years, I've concentrated on teaching Ballroom Social Dancing to singles and couples of all ages. Our recent studio expansion will enable us to have the best of Ballroom Dance Instruction anywhere in the Hampton Roads area.
